In this Digital Representation class, we learned how to program in Grasshopper, and this project was focused on using parametric manipulations in Grasshopper combined with lighting and material effects in V-Ray and Photoshop to create some quickly variable forms and effects. Using the Punnett Square logic, we created forms inspired by a combination of two words to produce primitive genetic cousins. We were to create a set of rendered objects that are a family, yet distinctly different from one another based on the variable traits in our Punnett Square set.

My Punnett Square set of variables.

Genetic Variations created through a mix of simple and complex Grasshopper scripts, learned from tutorials and then adjusted and combined to become my own. Then I applied materials and lighting effects in Rhino and V-Ray to compose the objects.
